Hello, my dear friends,

I sometimes see this screen when I turn on my laptop. Has anybody had this problem before?

Thanks in advance,

That is an error that appears when a driver or task tries to access the wrong memory. It typically is due to either corrupted configuration data or a buggy app or driver. Try booting in safe mode to see if it happen there as well.

Just as an addition, have a look at this guide Solutions to Fix IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Windows 10 as it explains it very well and the solutions are valid but and if you don't have computer experience please consult a technician that has to fix this BSOD of "IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".

@erncn11 in your case I believe the model number is something like B311R-31, though it might also be a B311R-31N. On the Acer USA site there are actually something like a half dozen different versions of those, and of course for other locales there are even more. Since yours is not a USA model it would be really helpful to know the full model number, like B311R-31-xxxx or B311R-31N-xxxx, or the first ten digits of the SN. Have you tried yet to boot into safe mode to see if the issue happens there?

    Hi @erncn11,

Reset this PC and keep my files
    1. Shutdown the unit. Press and hold alt+F10 key. Then turn ON the unit.
    2. You will get a blue screen. Choose the option troubleshoot.

3 Ways to Reset Acer Laptop to Factory Settings without Password

    3. Select Keep my files to refresh your PC and reinstall your operating system without removing your personal files. Click Next to continue. Important If you have apps installed on your PC, they will be removed.
    4. Resetting the PC will reinstall Windows, change settings back to their factory defaults and remove all preinstalled apps and programs without removing your personal files. Click Reset to continue.
    5. You will be shown the reset progress on the screen. The screen will turn off during the reset process.
    6. The screen will turn back on when it is installing Windows. Your PC will restart several times during the reset process.
    7. Follow the process until it completes.
    8. When your PC has completed the reset process, Windows will have been reset back to its factory default settings without removing your personal files.

I have not tried because the problem sometimes happens, not always. That is why I cannot test it.

And you still don't know which model you have?

@erncn11 thanks, the TravelMate Spin B311RN-31 model helps, since we now know for sure what hardware is included. It would help a lot more though if we knew whether it can happen in safe mode. Boot into safe mode with networking and use it as you would normally. If it goes a day or so without the error we can assume the issue isn't with Windows itself and is with either an added app or added hardware. If it does still happen then we can get into testing the Windows load with SFC and DISM.
