REGARDING MY NITRO 5 (AN515 - 55) MASSIVE DISCHARGE RATE

Greetings to whom is reading this.

Recently, I have managed to replace my battery with a new one since my old one is getting drained faster. Usually, the old battery on 100% would only take 1 hour or less since the remaining capacity it can store was around 41,000 mwH ( 57,000 mwH was the original). Although the new battery can store 57,000 mwH, it does drain the same as the old one. With the discharge rate around 40,000 ~ 49,000 mwH, and can last on a 100% battery around 1 hour and 20 minutes or less.

Is it possible that the new battery is faulty? Or there is something causing it?

seems a bit short, third party av and chrome are usually the main culprits. you can also check the batter stats to see whats sucking up the juice

    Thanks for the reply.

Even if chrome is closed, it still does drain faster. There are times where the discharge rate is around 11,000 mwh but only for a very short time. I don't know about the anti-virus, if it does contribute to the drainning.

Do you have an AV installed? It really does hammer battery

The two things to quickly check are the power stats inside control panel, and in task manager it says what's using Power . If that's nothing we could check the battery report and energy stats but it's could to start from the basics!
