My Aspire 5 A515-51G-5718 won't upgrade to Windows 11

Microsoft site said the laptop (totally standard in all respects) passed the spec test. The upgrader would, however, work to 76% and then pooped out citing error code 0x8007007f.

Can anyone help?

Do you have any thrid part AV installed? AV / Graphics drivers are the two things which normally cause issues

When installing, is it rebooting or failing before the first reboot? This tells us which logs files the reason may be in :) Im hoping that its created the logs so we can figure out what it is

If your new computer came with Norton (or other AV), remove it. It might fight you but it fights a lot of things. Windows Defender is fine. If that does not work, try updating the graphics drivers.
