How to fix/disable massive GPU/CPU throttling when running on battery power? [Helios 300 2019 model]

Ever since I got this computer back in 2019, it has heavily throttled itself while running on battery power. This wasn't a major issue up until lately when I've started to have trouble with my charger not being reliable, meaning that sometimes it will have a moment where it stops charging for several seconds or until I wiggle it into the right spot. If this happens while gaming, it leads to massive FPS drops and a few times seems to have resulted in a crash. Given how this only happens when the computer is running on battery power, I'm assuming it is an intentional setting to avoid excessive battery usage. What I'd like to know is if there is either a way to disable this setting or know if this isn't an intentional "issue" and is actually a malfunction that I've had for over two years now.

@Crwestby if the laptop runs on battery then the power must be limited in order not to heavily drain the battery and cause the laptop to shutdown immediately. You need to buy a new charger for a stable gaming experience.
