I have the same issue on an Acer Aspire 5315. Wifi works fine but the ethernet port is not being detected by the OS (running Win 10...but had the same problem with Win 7). If anyone has any suggestions, it would be appreciated!

    Hi @JD001,

Press “Windows” + “R” to open the Run prompt. Inside the network configuration panel, right-click on your ethernet connection and then select “Properties” to open the ethernet properties. After doing that, click “OK” to save your changes. Check to see if making this change has fixed our issue.

Under Device Manager, any red or yellow marks?

Anyway, go to Intel site to download and install the program Drivers and Support Assistant.

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html

This will help you get the drivers up to date.

Also, check if your BIOS is up to date at the Drivers & Manuals at the right pane here for your model.

If these will not solve your problem, I tend to believe the Ethernet port is dead.
