WIFI issues with Aspire V5-573P-6896

WIFI reception is very poor on Aspire V5-573P-6896 for years now. WIFI driver update didn't help.
Works decent within around 20 ft from the WIFI router. Beyond that, connection is really very poor. At around 45 ft, doesn't work for the most part.
Same issue with multiple different wireless routers both 2.4 and 5 ghz.

Never connects to xfiniti wifi if that gives any clue.

The wifi card probably needs to be reseated and the antenna connectors and coax cables checked out. The antenna cables that thread thru the hinge area to the back of the screen can break inside due to wear and tear of opening and closing the lid too much. The bottom cover needs to be removed to access the card and its antenna connectors. If reseating the card and connectors doesn't help then further disassembly would be needed to check out the cables in the hinge area.

Your notebook has 802.11 a/b/g/n, There are scores of USB 2 or 3- 802.11 AC adapters for small amount of dollars, AC Wifi routers 1300 or so are also not expensive--your WIFI experience will be improved going too AC Band--upgrade.

Are there any easy to follow step-by-step instructions to resolve this given this has been a known problem with this laptop model for long time now?

WIFI adaptor can be the last resort.
