Can I use my 500 GB HDD that my Acer Aspire 1 came with on my Acer Aspire A515-43?

I have an old Acer aspire laptop and was wondering if the internal memory is compatible with a new Acer aspire 5 laptop

Yes, if the new A515-43 is booting from an m.2 SSD card, then the 2.5" HDD/SSD drivebay is free. You can then plug the old 2.5" 500GB HDD right in the 2.5" drivebay. If you don't know what you're booting from now, press WIN+R. Enter 'msinfo32'. Click components in left pane. Click storage. Click disks. The boot drive model number should listed in right pane. Then google search the model number to find out if it's an m.2 card  or a 2.5" HDD/SSD
