Nitro 5 AN517-54 Limited Thunderbolt Functionality

Hi, my Acer Nitro 5 AN517-54 has a Thunderbolt 4 port, but I've connected a Thunderbolt 3 to dual HDMI adapter to it and the laptop posts a notification saying:

USB or Thunderbolt device functionality might be limited.

I have all the drivers installed, and I'm pretty sure TB4 is backwards compatible with TB3. Any ideas on what could be the issue? Anyone experienced this before?

This is the device: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08DV31YLV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks in advance.

“Thunderbolt device functionality might be limited make sure the Thunderbolt device you're connecting to is supported by your PC.” These messages can pop up because the cable being used to connect the dock to your system is not a Thunderbolt 3 cable, but rather a USB-C charging only cable.
