Predator Helios 300 (PH315-54) microphone from headset not detecting

Hello! I recently realized that my laptop, only about a week old, wasn't detecting the microphone from my headset in the audio jack. I knew this headset was already going though, so I purchased a new one. It arrived today - I plugged it in, was prompted by the laptop to select the device, and I clicked headset. Unexpectedly, it didn't resolve - I have "Headphones (Realtek(R) Audio) as an output option, and no microphone as an input option for the laptop. I've tried basic troubleshooting but I'm not super tech savvy, but I did discover something strange.

See, I am work at home agent, and we have these horrible headsets they give us. The key factor here is they are USB only, not 3.5mm headset jack. So, I plugged it in just as a test, and it worked! It registered as microphone and headset (it also displayed the brand which is different then the headset is doing). That said, the work headsets quality isn't great so I don't want to use it, and I JUST got the new headset for the jack. Does anyone have any solutions for this? I feel it may be a windows issue but I'm not even sure on that.

Some details,
-Predator Helios 300 (PH315-54)
-Windows 11
-Headset: Ziumier Gaming Headset

3.5mm headset mic is not a separate item.

As long as you select headset when you plug in, you are using the headset mic.

You can verify it by lightly tapping the headset mic, the signal meter will jump.

    Hi @Cryptican,

Your headset mic may be disabled or not set as the default device on your computer. ... Right click the Headset Microphone and click Enable. Right-click it again and select Set as Default Device. Right click Headset Microphone and click Properties.
