Sourcing Aspire A715-41G spare parts

Hi all,

Recently, the CPU side fan on my Aspire A715-41g has begun to buzz once it runs up past a certain speed. I plan to check there is no obstruction causing the buzz but I suspect one of the ball bearings on the fan has worn out or something similar. Is there an official route to go through to source spare parts or is it a matter of just searching online and hoping you get the right one from somewhere trustworthy? Should mention that I am in the UK.

Thanks

There is no specific and individual CPU/GPU “Fan” listed for the Aspire A715-41G as a part number, the only listed part is the thermal module (see caption below) as a sealed unit. Check on eBay or Amazon for this fan as they sell it and its pretty cheap or here at Acer “Spare Parts / Accessories

Thanks for the quick response. Bit annoying that the thing comes as a whole unit since I'll have to reapply the thermal paste if I choose to replace it. Guess it also explains why its  impossible to get to the heat pipe grate to clean the thing since it's all stuck together.
