My Acer Predator Helios 300 gaming laptop shuts down/crashes overnight, but fans and keyboard backlight are still on. The screen goes black and the computer won't start up again until I hold the power button down for 5+ seconds. Basically, I have to hard reboot this thing every morning. It only seems to happen overnight.

Anyone know what this might be?

    Hi @rdenon6284,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.

Strangely enough, when I went to shut down the computer, the same thing happened - the screen went dark and seemed off, but the fans and the keyboard backlight were still on. I had to told the power button down for 5 seconds to turn it off completely.

I did as you instructed. When the computer restarted, I received a message saying that Windows didn't load correctly and that I could perform a repair or restart the computer.

I wasn't sure what you meant by "Check this T/S" so I went ahead and restarted it. Windows loaded up as normal, but I'm not sure if this fixed the problem. Any advice on what to do now? Should I wait and see if it happens again overnight?
