Just got this in yesterday. Charged it all the way and unplugged it, at 100% it only shows 2 hours left... is battery life supposed to be sacrificed for the features?? I think I read it was supposed to be around 6 hrs.. Thanks in advance

Some settings will affect the battery life. For example, my Acer laptop has backlit keyboard. Once I have changed the backlit settings from BIOS for the backlit to be always on, the battery life was then cut by half.

Setting the PC at high performance mode will also shorten battery duration.

But is it normal that my brand new laptop only gets 2 hours after a full charge? Acer site shows maximum 12 hours (I know that's a reach but still way more than 2).

Do you think I got a faulty one? 2 hours sounds like the battery's messed up.. thinking about either exchanging or returning it
