When I open display settings after turning on bluelight shield in Acer Quick Access it turns off, and I have to reopen the app and reenable it. Is there a way to avoid this, or do this in BIOS instead?

Why are you using Windows Display settings? They are generic settings to be used when OEM settings are not available. They can sometimes be buggy. What are you trying to do with Windows display setting that you can't seem to do using either ACERQA or ACER's Balanced Power Plan.

I usually use windows display settings to change multi display layouts, and I also need to also go through the display settings to get to other settings tabs such as battery, storage, and sound since it is the default settings tab for the "system" category. The same issue also occurs when I open the windows action centre, so it might be a conflict between windows' night light setting and acerqa.

Are you still using Win10? If yes, do you have the latest QA app installed? https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/support-product/8614?b=1

I'm using the preinstalled QA app on Windows 10. Also, in the drivers/applications page of the A515-56, I couldn't find the QA app. Should I try replacing the installed app with the one on the Acer software page? The acer software page is also broken, and I have to inspect element the download link to get the zip file.

No. You must use the dropdown in the link to change to Win10 from Win11. Then the updated QA app will appear for download.

Oh ok, thanks! Should I just uninstall the preinstalled QA app and install this instead?

Probably not since It should overwrite the old version.
