I have this issue with my laptop (AO1-431-C2GN) where the battery drains 10% a day when it is completely switched off (no suspend/hibernate active) and does this on both Windows and Linux alike.  Is this a motherboard or battery issue known with the laptop ? and if so how can I fix it since this is a great laptop I enjoy using a lot.

In Windows, open Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left pane. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' near the top of next pane. Scroll down and UNcheck the box for fast startup. If already unchecked, then you likely have an internal cell short. New battery replacements are about $35. Google ao1-431 battery or part no KT.0030G.008 for vendors who ship to your location.
