Hello all,

I have an Acer Nitro AN515-57. Recently, I've been experiencing some issues with the Processor Temperature and clock. Earlier, I was looking in task manager and NitroSense, and the processor clock under 8% usage was 4.12 GHz. I have an Intel i7 11800-H along with a NVIDIA 3050 Ti. This laptop is brand new (From Best Buy, ~1 week and 2 days old). I had to move houses for a bit, and house 1 had no 3 pronged plugs, so I had to use an adapter. House 2 had a 3 pronged plug, so I'm no longer using an adapter. Can this be the cause of these temperatures? I run at about ~50C under 8% usage, and ~70C when gaming. My BIOS doesn't contain an option to disable Turbo Boost 3.0. My environment is well ventilated. I would appreciate some insight!

Thanks!

@lockk 70C is an acceptable temperature while gaming. The CPU can handle up to 100C and will shutdown immediately once it reaches that point. If the laptop is about 90C and you are suffering significant FPS drops, you can consider lowering the CPU performance.
