Hello!

Brand new on this platform.
I love my Aspire because of the size of the screen, more than 18in.
Is it worth to install Windows 10?
Pros and Cons?

  • Hi,
Acer didn't test Windows 10 in this model but some have installed Windows 10 in this model, it's up to you to decide whether you want to install Windows 10 which a very good OS, I would suggest you reading the comments in this thread and decide:https://community.acer.com/en/discussion/479703/aspire-8943g-media-console-driver-compatible-with-windows-10

As brummyfan2 has given you a link to one of the forums posts on your Aspire 8943G and some problems that these people are having, which is not necessarily what you will have. With the top specs Aspire 8943G of the i7 or the i5 and either 8GB or 16GB RAM, this laptop is very capable of running Win-10 and even Pro that is has more features as I used these two laptops with Win-10 since Win-10 was released. These laptops had an Intel 2nd Gen i5-2410M on the Aspire 5750 with an MBR/Legacy BIOS and the v3-571G had a 3rd Gen i7-3610QM and a GUID/GPT BIOS both with DDR3-1600Mhz 8GB and 16GB RAM which you could run also, best is to do a Crucial System Scanner as you need to run an 2.5" SSD drive also. Your Aspire 8943G with top RAM, 2.5" SSD and updated to its last BIOS in MBR/Legacy BIOS mode, should work 100% with Win-10 and Pro and since its the same vintage as my old  Aspire 5750 that came with Win-7 and the V3-571G came with Win-8, this laptop should work 100% and flawlessly.
