Hey! I got a Acer 5 Nitro and these past two weeks I feel like I’m going crazy. I noticed after downloading a new game, which was relatively small, my frame rate took a complete nosedive. At first I thought I was being too critical of the display but there’s noticeable drops in resolution and the screen does this thing when I move the camera, it looks like the surrounding landscape is glitching with little lines across the screen almost distorting my peripheral view. I always keep it in a cool place and I still have 500GB free on my hard drive. I got this laptop in March of 2020 so I know my hardware is up to date. What’s the problem???
Btw I used to play GTA online FLAWLESSLY so I know my computer is capable of performing.

    Hi @ Waltz1281
    1. Ensure that the system requirements are met.
    2. Change the game's graphic settings.
    3. Check if the Internet connection is running optimally.
    4. Update the GPU drivers.
    5. Disable background programs.
    6. Modify the system's power settings.
    7. Turn on the Game Mode.
    8. Scan for HDD errors.

A sudden framerate drop while the external power adapter is plugged in, normally occurs during thermal throttling of the CPU at max clocking speed and voltage. ... Additionally, poor cooling solution and clogged laptop fans by dust are common reasons for FPS dropping.
