why would battery fail so often - what is the design flaw with Acer

my Acer 5 Nitro battery fails to take a charge and this has happened twice - this time it is out of warranty so I need to spend 500 to get it fixed right - when its under warranty Acer took 3 months to get it back to me and then did not fix it - poor service and product by A

    If you can remove the screws and bottom cover by yourself, new replacement batteries are about $30usd.

    Unfortunately all batteries are made in China and Acer uses those supplies. This is not a fault of Acer as the monopoly of battery manufacture is in China and all manufacturers are at their peril. I’ve had problems with batteries that don’t charge fully and/or are shown in windows as not being fully charged, what I suggest is that you look at this guide “How to Calibrate Your Laptop Battery” and try to revitalise your battery that way.

    Are you getting any light indication when charger is connected.
