I have the SA240Y monitor. It worked fine but one day started to be very poor resolution.

See the image for what I'm getting. I am connected via HDMI cable and using a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 and Windows 10. 
It's not as bad in the image as what I'm seeing live. Looks like a herringbone pattern.

    Please provide the complete model no of your computer.   If possible try to use an alternative monitor to check whether you are facing the same issue.

    If it is still not working..


    Try windows x 
    go to device manager 
    expand display adapter
    right click on display driver - uninstall 
    Restart the computer 


    It should work fine.. 


    If it is still not working 
    Uninstall the display adapter from device manager 
    Dont restart the computer. 
    Go to support.acer.com 
    chose your country 
    type snid or chose your model 
    go to drivers 
    Install the display driver 


    It should work fine.. 


    Click on "Like" if you find my answer useful

    Check to see if the correct display adapter is still in Device Manager. That looks like it may have been reset to the Basic Display Adapter, which has fewer colors than the correct one.

    I think I found the problem. It can't handle the 2560x1440 resolution that my HP monitor uses. It's max is 1920x1080. I'll stick with the HP for now.
