Aspire A315-56 Little glued things in side of laptop

So i noticed there were these tiny little rubber-like things in my Aspire A315-56 laptop's bevel, and turns out i could move them. But then, they both came out, exposing tiny gaps containing nothing inside. Is this dangerous to my laptop? And why are they there in the first place?

The lid bezel should have small hard rubber bumpers to keep the screen from hitting the keyboard keys when you close the lid. Put them back so you don't damage the screen.
