We've just bought my son a drawing tablet and we are struggling to get the video input/output set up to his preference.

His Aspire has an external monitor attached via the single HDMI port. The drawing tablet can attach to the laptop via UCB-C or HDMI but as the USB-C is gen 1 that won't work (and can't be used for the monitor). Is there a way to split the HDMI port such that he can connect both the monitor and the drawing tablet at the same time. The drawing tablet works like a touch screen essentially so has both input and output requirements.

The tablet is an HUION Kamvas 13

Any help gratefully received, thanks.
