Predator 15 G9 591 CPU at 100% and USBs crackling after possibly microSD troubleshooting?

Last weekend I was working with a USB micro SD adapter for work on my 3D printer. Every time I put it into my computer, all the icons on the computer would flicker, it would say the sd would need to be formatted, and performance of the computer would drop. After this, my computer has blue screened multiple times (error IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL), slowed massively, CPU has risen to 100% constantly, any sound from the speakers or usb headphones create an awful crackling sound, touchpad has massive lag, and the battery drains very quickly.

I've had this predator for 5 years, and just replaced the battery after this issue. It fixed the battery drain, but all the other problems still apply. I've also backed up all my files to an external drive in the event of a factory reset being required, but I'd like to avoid this.

Any thoughts? I'm going to attempt reverting the computer to a previous windows update to see if that fixes anything, but I'm out of ideas after that. The micro SD card required formatting by another computer, which had no issues with the SD after that

@Draztik does the MicroSD card adapter still works with another computer?
