Hello!

I have had this computer (Acer Nitro 5) for over a month now, and whenever I load up a game such as Fortnite, the battery symbol flashes and turns orange and continues flashing, the game starts to get laggy, and it shuts off randomly. Is there anyway to fix this? Such as resetting the battery? Please let me know, I don't want to give up this computer.

    Hi @iiRocketManJack

Yes you can reset this laptop's battery just by pushing and holding the power button for 15 secs. If it doesn't do anything you can try to reinstall the battery drivers and check with it.

Check the below image for battery driver reinstallation.

Windows 10 laptop saying plugged in But not charging Try these solutions

Even after this if it doesn't work well you can try to do a complete reset and check with it.

Please follow the below steps for the reset process.

    To reset your PC

    1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)

    2. Tap or click Update and recovery, and then tap or click Recovery.

    3. Under Remove everything and reinstall Windows, tap or click Get started.

    4. Follow the instructions on the screen.

Make sure you back up all your files before you try this reset. Because you will loose all you files and applications in this process.

Hope it will help you in some way.

@ragsak28 I've tried everything, Reset my pc, Updated the drivers, and held the power button for 15 seconds. Nothing is working, What do I do? My computer still lags when I get into a game and It shuts it off.
