New Aspire A514-54. Windows 10.
Speed initially Download 0.5 Mbps   Upload 1.5 Mbps.
Updated driver.....Wireless LAN_Intel_22.0.1.1_W10x64_A.
Speed increased to Download 4.2 Mbps    Upload 4.5 Mbps.

I did run through various trouble shooters on the PC before I updated the driver.
Speed should be 20 and 5 Mbps.....other machines on the network.

The Laptop is brand new therefore no system restore points before the problem etc.....there are now of course.

My problem is caused by the extender I am using....been OK for years!
Checked the new laptop this morning alongside my permanent desktop and both gave similar poor readings on speed test.
The desktop has given good readings over the last few days.....as it has for a long time.
Connected both to the router.....It's just within reach on WiFi....and both are hitting the correct readings.
Thank you for your comments....I thought I had checked everything a number of times!!

    Hi @EJB986

Since you have tried with the driver reinstallation you can try to check with the system reset to see if you can find any difference with it.

Follow the below link for the system reset.

Please do backup your files before you start the reset process.

Hope it will help you in some way.
