    Hi @ Helcugcatt
Just check the back of the unit, you can find a pin hole , unplug the charger and turn off the unit. now put a paper clip in the small pin hole and press and hold it for 30 sec. Than to go device manager and uninstall the battery driver and restart the unit and check.

Do a battery reset for your AN515-54 like below:

If the above does not work then and as you have done the BIOS reset and have disconnected the battery the problem is probably in the laptops internal charging circuitry e.g. a burned out or shorted power Mosfet and/or a capacitor that can burn out easily due to heat and/or just due to a bad quality component that has either broken or burned out and exact problem needs tobe diagnosed by an experienced technician to look at your laptop as a normal consumer does not have the appropriate tools and equipment to either diagnose and/or fix this problem.

If you have an amp meter then you could check your batterys voltage at full charge which should be 15.4V/3720mAh and as your Nitro comes with two different chargers of either the 135W at 19V or the 180W 19.5V, check the charger if its up to spec and charing. Btw, your OEM battery is the Acer part #: KT.00407.007 and your OEM chargers are either the 135W 19V that has the Acer part #'s: KP.13501.007 or the KP.13503.007 or the 180W 19.5V has the Acer part #'s: KP.18001.002 or the KP.18001.005.

    Hi @Helcugcatt,

    # Try to get the BIOS page.
    1. Turn OFF the unit.
    2. Press and hold the F2 key and turn on the unit.
    3. You will be in setup utility page.
    4. Once you got the screen release the F2 key.
    5. Tap on F9 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    6. Tap on F10 key and hit enter key without changing the option.
    7. Your unit will restart by itself.

Check this T/S and post the result.
