First off system specs.
Asus Crosshair Hero VIII Wi-Fi MoBo
AMD Ryzen 5900X (no overclocks)
32 GB Corsair RGB Pro 4000 MHz RAM
RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra (no overclocks)
Samsung 1TB 970 Evo for the windows boot drive
Windows 10 Pro, latest build 21H1

I purchased a new XB323QK a few weeks ago. I immediately noticed a that the monitor would randomly go to black then back to normal every few minutes to few seconds or so. At first I thought it was a bad DisplayPort cable. I replaced it and that didn't work. I returned the monitor to the store and they swapped it out after I explained the problem. I set up the second monitor. The issue is on the second monitor also. I purchased two 8K VESA certified DisplayPort cables thinking it was just bad cables included in the box. After trying three cables, nothing, it still randomly goes to a black screen. I tried my old monitor's cable. Nothing, still a black screen. So I returned this monitor... set up the third one. Nothing, screen still goes black after trying 4 cables and 3 monitors. Searching here and all over the web leads me to several posts here saying to do a monitor self test, power it off, unplug everything, plug it all back in, power on. Nothing, screen still goes black when it feels like it. Graphics card or PC issues? OK maybe, I do a fresh install of windows and graphics drivers on the boot drive. Nothing, monitor decides to turn black during setup too, beautiful. I tried the monitor on another system, it still does it. All other monitors I've used on my system work just fine. I've also tried changing refresh rates, using HDMI, turning G-sync on and off, HDR on and off, Super Sharpness on and off, NONE of these fix the issues. What is wrong with this monitor? After several weeks now random black screens and many others having this issue with this monitor I did find that using multiple monitors for some reason seems to make this monitor flash to black and back on. Every time this monitor is set to multiple monitors it does it. If the display is extended or used as an extended display it will after some time start flashing to black every few seconds to a few minutes constantly. I think this might help point out what is wrong with this model of monitor.

It's connected to my RTX 3090 in a desktop. I've tried all ports on this 3090 and another graphics card in the same desktop and another desktop, a GTX 1050 Ti with the same issues.

I just got out of a chat with Acer's tech support and this monitor is NOT g-sync compatible. I guess I'll be returning this and going with another model or brand. It was advertised as G-sync compatible but really shouldn't be. This might be part of the issue however disabling adaptive sync in the monitor and in the Nvidia control panel... it still goes to black and picture comes back every few minutes.

    Hi @Cricketboy4K,

It looks like hardware issue. Contact acer tech support,

So I MAY have found the issue, at least on my end. Are any of you running multiple monitors? While using the monitor alone I NEVER get the black screen bug. If I extend my display across multiple monitors I get the random black screens several minutes to an hour or so later every time! Try only using a single monitor for a while and let me know if that helps. This is looking like it may be an issue with some of the recent Windows updates.

I have a Z35P which has been used for a while without issues for 3 years in both single monitor and dual monitor mode. However some days ago I started to suffer a similar issue with the 1 monitor mode.
