I set my close lid to do nothing, can I safely close my lid while shutting down?

@ShangWang yes, you can close the lid early when that option is set to nothing. The laptop won't go to sleep instead of shutting down.

@ShangWangWhile shutting down the laptop, if the screen goes black, you can safely close the lid.

Yes, I'm aware of that but I'd like to know if I can do so without seeing it go black if closing the lid is set to "do nothing."
