Hi,
My laptop is aspire E5-576G. It's been almost 2 years since the problem persists. The problem is, after a few minutes of inactivity its screen shuts down (before allocated time of 5 min to go to screen off) & no matter how hard you try to wake it up, it doesn't wake up unless you hit power bottom for few second & hard reset it.
At that state:
  • LED indicator shows laptop is on
  • fans are running even more rapidly with noise
  • if music is playing, it freezes (like Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....)
  • Screen is black & off
It so frustrating because all your works are gone & after hard reset, the laptop hangs so much.
I have tried:
  • re-installing window
  • updating all drivers
  • bios update
  • fresh restart with & without personal data loss!
What is the problem? it is hard disk or RAM? if it is, how to check them?
It has a slot for M.2 SSD, so I am planning to use SSD. will it help?

As a test, open Control Panel. Search 'power'. Click choose when to turn off display in left pane. Change all settings to Never.  Does screen still shut off with the same problem?

After changing everything to NEVER, did you reboot laptop yet?

Open  Control Panel. Search 'button'. Click 'change what the power buttons do' in left. Click 'change settings that are currently unavailable' near the top of the next pane. Scroll down and uncheck the box for fast startup. Shut down Windows normally. Turn it back on again to see if it screen shuts off after 5 mins even though it's now set to NEVER shut off.

    Hi @omerbutt123,

    Try to do power drain,

    1. Shutdown the unit.
    2. Unplug the cables connected to the unit.
    3. At bottom of the unit there will be a small tiny pin hole with a battery symbol close to it. Take a pin or a paper clip insert into it you feels like pressing a button hold it for 20-30 seconds.
