regards to everyone,

i'm having some problems with an aspire a314 laptop, i want to reinstall the operating system but neither the acer care center nor the windows 10 recovery section are able to get the process going.

i give the command to reinstall the operating system but then there's an error message that reads that the recovery files cannot be found and the operation is aborted.

i have downloaded a windows 10 iso file but i don't want to use it as it would imply overwriting all the drivers, the windows license and the software that came with the laptop.

is there any way to repair or restore the recovery files to be able to reinstall the operating system without deleting the information i have on the computer?

very well, thanks, regards.

@tradingfoursj you can try the reset this PC in the recovery section. There is an option for keeping personal files. If your Windows 10 is original(came with the laptop and hasn't been formatted before), then this will reinstall everything including Acer's apps and drivers.
Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!

    Hi @tradingfoursj,

Reset this PC and keep my files
    1. Shutdown the unit. Press and hold alt+F10 key. Then turn ON the unit.
    2. You will get a blue screen. Choose the option troubleshoot.

3 Ways to Reset Acer Laptop to Factory Settings without Password

    3. Select Keep my files to refresh your PC and reinstall your operating system without removing your personal files. Click Next to continue. Important If you have apps installed on your PC, they will be removed.
    4. Resetting the PC will reinstall Windows, change settings back to their factory defaults and remove all preinstalled apps and programs without removing your personal files. Click Reset to continue.
    5. You will be shown the reset progress on the screen. The screen will turn off during the reset process.
    6. The screen will turn back on when it is installing Windows. Your PC will restart several times during the reset process.
    7. Follow the process until it completes.
    8. When your PC has completed the reset process, Windows will have been reset back to its factory default settings without removing your personal files.
