Hi, my Acer Aspire R7 laptop doesn't start. When power button pressed the blue light turns on for few seconds and then it gets turned off. I tried to troubleshoot, I can see the internal battery is swollen. I would like to know
1) If replacing battery will solve the issue? If yes where I can purchase the battery and how much it will cost?
2) Is there an issue with bios? Does it need bios replacement? How to access the bios setup as laptop doesn't turn on?
3) Any specific troubleshooting steps I should follow?

I didn't find any thread with similar issue with acer aspire r7 so creating this post.
Please guide me to solve this issue. Your help is appreciated.

No. Match not necessary.  You can also google the generic part nos. AP13B3K, AP13B8K, AP13B or the ACER part nos. shown below. They are all about the same 3.5 amp-hour capacity and all should work fine in your laptop. The batteries are all very similar but may have different company labels. Some say ACER, some SANYO, some Pananonic, some Samsung. some LG. some no-name.

There are dozens of R7 models. Which model do you have? For example R7-532? Or R7-372G? Or R7-571T? If you know the model, then google search the keywords, for example, R7-571T & battery for prices and vendors who ship to your location.

It is acer aspire r7 572 series model v5mm1. I don't find the match for v5mm1 model no. , so how to find if battery will match with my laptop? I mean series is sufficient to buy the battery or the model number also has to be matched? I don't see any matches when I google with whole series number. It is 2013 make.
