Hello, I have the the Aspire 5 A515 54g with 1tb HDD.

Can I upgrade it to one NVME 256gb + one SDD also keeping my HDD?

I saw that it has a NVME slot as well as and M.2 slot.

Thank you.

The single m.2 socket supports both an m.2 NVME card up to 2TB or an m.2 SATA3 card also up to 2TB. The NVME card should be about twice as fast as the SATA3 card. The Western Digital Blue series m.2 SATA or m.2 NVME cards are perfect for this laptop.

Your mainboard could have 4GB soldered RAM + 4GB replaceable DDR4 sodimm  module RAM. Or  it could have 0GB soldered RAM + 8GB replaceable DDR4 sodimm module RAM.

If you have 4GB soldered RAM, you could replace the replaceable 4GB sodimm with a 16GB DDR4 sodimm module for a total of 20GB RAM maximum

If you have 0GB soldere RAM, you could replace the replaceable 8GB sodimm with a 16GB DDR4 sodimm module for a total of 16GB RAM maximum

You must remove 11 screws from bottom cover, pry cover off and also unplug battery to access RAM and SSD sockets

    Thank you.

I have a 8gb ram in my laptop using only one slot (I checked using CPU-Z). The other slot is empty, how much ram can I install in the empty slot?

Your empty RAM socket is an soldered unreplaceable RAM socket. You cannot add RAM to this socket since it must be soldered to the mainboard at the factory.

You can only replace the 8GB RAM in the other replaceable RAM socket.
