Hi all,

I'm looking to see if I can get some confirmation on a question I have.

Can I charge my laptop via USB-C, and if I can what type of charger should I be looking for. I basically want to try and minimise the number of chargers etc I carry about, so if I am able to it would make life just that little more convenient.

Thanks

If your laptop has a built-in USB-C port, then you'll be able to charge your laptop via a USB-C cable - you just have to make sure the cable has a plug adapter (the box-shaped plug at the end of your phone charger than can plug into an outlet). ... Plug the other end of the USB-C cord into your laptop.

@Easwar there is more to it than that. The power adapter has to have the right voltage, output the right amount of current and the laptop design has to allow charging over USB-C. Most of the earlier models with USB-C don't support charging the laptop over that port.
