VG272UV - 10bit - DP 1.4

Hello,

I recently bought a Acer Nitro VG2 VG272UVbmiipx. It states to have 10bit color depth and uses DisplayPort 1.4 standard.
According to DP 1.4, it should be able to display 2560px*1440px with 165Hz refresh rate AND 10bit/bpc color depth.

Unfortunately it only allows to set 8bit/bpc at 165Hz refresh rate.

Is there a limitation which prevents to use 2560px*1440px with 165Hz refresh rate AND 10bit/bpc color depth?

Thank you.

    Hi @gamerk

You can try to check with a different DP cabel to check if it is the issue with the specific DP cabel that you are using it with the monitor. If not you can also try to disconnect the monitor completely from the computer including the power and the DP cabel and you need to press and hold down the power button for 15 secs. It will reset the monitor and you can check to see if that also makes a difference.

Hope it will help you in some way.
