Hi I have a Aspire A715-72G and I want to replace the 256gb with a 1tb.
I had a look at the 256gb ssd on the laptop and it is an M.2 SATA ssd. What I want to know is can I add a M.2 NVME ssd instead or will it only support the SATA. If I can what do I need to change in the BIOS to support the NVME

Yes, this model should support either an m.2 NVME card or m.2 SATA3 card up to 2TB. The NVME card should be about twice as fast as the SATA3 card but probably won't notice much speed difference between the two except in very disk intensive applications. No BIOS change needed. The Wester Digital blue series m.2 cards should work well with this machine.
