Seeking part numbers for every compatible keyboard/palmrest unit with the SF314-53G

I'm trying to find a replacement keyboard/palmrest for my SF314-53G which has a few nonfunctional keys (unfortunately, just replacing/repairing keycaps doesn't seem sufficient, and while keyboard-only units are available, the resulting keyfeel apparently isn't very good after popping off the plastic rivets used to fasten the keyboard onto the palmrest unit). The recommended part in some previous questions has been the 6B.GQMN5.001. That particular item is a bit hard to find so I'm looking at what if any other options will work. There are very similar-looking parts which are listed as appropriate for an SF314-52 (note: not listed as compatible with the SF314-53G specifically), so I'm wondering what parts (beyond just the 6B.GQMN5.001) are physically and electronically compatible with the SF314-53G, in the sense of physically fitting around the machine's chassis and internal components, and having connectors compatible with the SF314-53G's motherboard. Specific things which I am not at all worried about are:
  • backlight. A backlit keyboard is nice, but I can do without.
  • physical key layout. The 6B.GQMN5.008, for instance, has some conspicuous differences in actual physical key shapes: the left shift key is half-size to admit another key to its right, and the enter key is vertically oriented with another key filling the space on its left, but the physical characteristics seem OK and as long as it fits these key-shape differences are fine.
  • color. My current palmrest is silver, but I don't care about the aesthetics.
  • keycaps. As long as they have US QWERTY on them, I'm OK with keycaps which have secondary alphabets on them as well.
It seems like most of the 6B.GQMN series look the same, but looking the same and functioning the same is not quite the same thing and I want to make sure. And some of them even within this major part number have differences, like the layout difference between .001 and .008 described above. And there also seem to be some other part numbers which seem like they should be usable too. For instance, I looked at the 6B.GQPN5.001, which is apparently compatible with the SF314-52, although nothing I can find definitely indicates that this one is compatible with the SF314-53G, but it looks the same as the 6B.GQMN5.001, which is also often not specifically listed as compatible with the SF314-53G.

In brief: I'd like a list of every part number which definitely will function, from a physical/electronic standpoint, regardless of usability or aesthetics, as a replacement for the SF314-53G's palmrest/keyboard combination, so that as I shop I can tell exactly which parts are viable replacements.

Oh boy... Every language has it's own keyboard. I count 62 different keyboards just for the pink case color between the backlit/not backlit versions. There are also blue cases and silver cases... The part number you quote is for a silver case with backlit keyboard in US/International layout. The equivalent for the blue case is: 6B.GQPN5.001, for the pink case: 6B.GQRN5.001. The non-backlit versions for silver, blue and pink are: 6B.GQNN5.001, 6B.GQQN5.001 & 6B.GQSN5.001. There are US/Intl with Hebrew and Canadian with French that might also be an option. In any case the vendor is likely to have to order it, since very few repair depots are going to have the full selection in stock.

Thank you! That's definitely along the lines of the info I want, but specifically, are all the models you named above compatible with the SF314-53G?

For what it's worth, I don't need a list as such. I'd be content with a blanket statement, e.g. "Any part with number starting with 6B.GQ would fit" if such a statement is actually true --- again, in looking at them I do see minor layout and construction variations, and I want to be sure to get something that works. Even better would be some sort of breakdown on what the part number is, e.g. being able to say "6B.GQ_N.###" is a specific shape and connection appropriate for SF314-52, SF314-52G, and SF314-53G (especially the last! a lot of retailers will make promises of compatibility with the -52 and -52G but not the -53G), and that that second-to-last letter is just a color/backlight designation, while the final three digits are a keycap layout/internationalization specification.

What I'm saying above is conjecture, and if it could be confirmed to be true then I'd be a happy camper, becase then when I go shopping I can look at a part number and be absolutely clear on whether it's compatible with the SF314-53G.

Yeah, we can't make a blanket statement like that. Acer doesn't have that level of granularity in their part numbering system, instead I believe numbers are assigned sequentially or perhaps something even more arcane. The number I gave you are all for your model, the SF314-53G and will also fit a SF314-53 except I don't believe they made a non-G model. They will not fit a SF314-52x model. The case designs change year to year so can't be mixed.
