Your Aspire 5738Z can have 4GB max (2x 2GB DDR3-1066MHz) of memory into its 2x sockets and the top spec memory is the DDR3-1066MHz Synchronous DRAM, 1.5V, 240-pin soDIMM. Also I would advise that you do the "Crucial System Scanner" that will advise you of what modern memory upgrade that is available for this laptop as it could a higher spec to the DDR3-1066MHz and it will work.

Acer OEM suggested memory for the Aspire 5738Z

Btw, if you want to upgrade this laptops performance I would change the CPU from its OEM Intel® Core™2 Duo T4200 CPU to the higher spec T6600 or even the highest T9500 and also make sure that you run a 2.5" SSD SATA 2 3GB/sec drive (if you can buy one?) but, you can run the current 2.5" SSD's SATA 3 6GB/sec drives as it will work and also update the BIOS to the last BIOS update of the version 1.34 dated; 2011/02/08. All these upgrades will make your Aspire 5738Z at least perfom 100% better and be a more efficient platform to run Win-10 64bit or Win-8 or Win-7. Good luck and hope this helpsyou out.

Many thanks Steven, I didn't even know until now that I could change the Core on this laptop, thanks again!

StevenGen, sure it must have 240 pins? because I can't find it, I only found 204 and I don't think or know if it would fit.
    I found this one:

    https://www.ebay.de/itm/363512845776?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11051.m43.l1123&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=2269e5f500674a3e940b00af233efb4c&bu=45150540766&osub=-1~1&crd=20211211141820&segname=11051&sojTags=ch=ch,bu=bu,osub=osub,crd=crd,segname=segname,chnl=mkcid
with exactly the same PN but without 240 Pins.

    Could you help me?

Considering the overall price of those upgrades for an older laptop and with an Acer Swift 1 Laptop - SF114-33-C8FC Part Number:   NX.HYUAA.002 currently on sale for $230 (& said to be win 11 compliant), seems like a no-braner to me.
