Hi,
I have an Acer swift SF-314 Ryzen 7 laptop. Off late i started noticing that my battery backup kept reducing to zero. A quick check showed that I need to replace the battery. Now, I got a new battery just 4 days back. The battery report is perfect. However, soon after the first two days, my laptop doesnt stay on without the power cord while the battery is still charged to 80%. I have done multiple calibrations and no use. Uninstalled and reinstalled the battery drivers too. Laptop doesn't switch on without a power cord, and then after boot, it shows a battery with more than 50% charge. Kindly suggest an appropriate remedy.

Which SF314 model do you have? It should be something like sF314-xxx-xxxx. What battery did you get? You might not have purchased the right one...

Its an Sf314-42-RY9N. I got the exact same battery as came preinstalled with the laptop. I tested the new battery on another acer laptop (same model, make and specs). Worked like charm on the other laptop. My laptop charges the new battery very well, but somehow it doesn't take power out of it. Hence, as soon as I disconnect the power cable , it switches off in a minute or so while battery remains charged. Is it a software or hardware issue?
Acer customer care suggested i factory reset the system or pay 500$ for repair.

Those symptoms pretty much have to be hardware. :(
