I purchased this computer 'USED' which is missing a storage drive. It has not arrived. Can someone give my specs on the type and size of memory is installed in this computer? The only info I can find is that it is 128gb and since it is missing I want to know what the max. capacity is for this laptop. Thanks!

They ship with different drives based on (I believe) spot pricing. Note that some of the 128GB versions have an eMMC drive soldered to the motherboard. Since yours doesn't show that it either had that drive fail or it had an M.2 SSD that was removed. Samsung, Kingston and Hynix are the three manufacturers I find in the SG. Either a 128GB or 256GB are the defaults, though there is really no limit to sizing other than your wallet and what's available on the market. IIRC the largest option is an 8TB SSD. :) Your M.2 slot supports both SATA and NVMe drives.

I would really like a detailed ordering reference say for example, max drive capy. is 128 gb M3 mini SATA or 256 gb M.2 2242 NVME PCIE. Please understand that the drive has  been removed from this computer so I am unclear as to the specs of the memory that was initially installed or if 128 gb is the max capacity.

Thanks again Billsey. The computer has not arrived yet but when it does I will know exactly what to do. Your expertise goes way beyond my own as I am familiar with SATA but M.2 and NVMe sounds like a for

Heheh... That happens with us all. M.2 describes a new form factor for a PCIe slot that takes up a *lot* less room on the motherboard. NVMe is a faster drive control protocol that runs over a PCIe bus, rather than the older SATA serial interface. Between the two you can see drive speeds around 4x the top SATA speeds.
