Motherboard replacement for Acer Aspire 7 [A715-75G-50SA]

My laptop had suddenly stopped working. It would not turn on. On taking it to a local repair shop(as it is out of warranty), I was informed that the motherboard has been damaged and cannot be repaired. I've been suggested by the repairperson to buy a replacement motherboard. The price I've been told is about $270 (20000 INR, India).
At this price, would it be a good option to get a replacement? Is it reliable to replace a laptop motherboard?

Other info:
I got the laptop for $760 (57000 INR), 15 months ago.

If it is my computer, I'll just forget about it and buy another one. Typical motherboard replacement if through Acer is like USD$350. This price is just like the

Aspire 5 A515-46-R14K that I bought several months ago, and I love this laptop.

This laptop is little weaker than your Aspire 7 but not too much.

It is your laptop, you make the decision.

Just out of curiosity, did they tell you how it got damaged? Was it fall damage or overheating or anything like that?
