Hi, everyone thinking about buying my first PC, I'm a Mac user and thinking about making a move to something different, But I have a question on the Orion 7000, I know it's going to be a while before it will be released but 1st question can I installed Windows 11 Pro instead of home? Two will the Orion have build to order options? Let's say I don't want the 3090 and I want to pick a different card will that be possible? 3) what is the Price? been shopping around for a new computer like digital storm, ibuypower, etc... but I really enjoyed the presentation they had on the 13 it really impressed me and that made my decision to buy my first PC with Acer

    Hi there!

Most likely the new PC's will come out with Win 11 Home preinstalled on them, but I see no reason why you couldn't upgrade them to Pro later.

I doubt there will be BTO option. If there is, it will most likely come with a hefty price tag.

Price is anyone's guess, especially with the chip shortage.

I'd seriously consider building a PC that meets your exact requirements (case, RAM, GPU, cooling solution etc.). Building a PC for the 1st time sounds intimidating, but there are really good build videos and forums with helpful people out there. Besides, I'm sure you must have at least one friend how has done this already. Oh, and if you go this way, I'd wait to see what kind of a performance the new Intel platform gives. DDR5 support might be something worth waiting for.

Yes, there should be no issues with switching from Windows 11 Home to Pro. Just go to the Settings; System and change the type. It will ask you for the new key you purchased or offer to sell you the upgrade, but won't need to do much more than some downloading and a reboot. I've done it with all my systems.
