Hi all,

My X223W monitor used as second monitor with VGA connector in dual-monitor setup had been working fine for more than six years.
Normally it will come on just with one to two second time delay after Windows bootup.

In the past nine months I noticed the power light flashed amber for quite a while before the power light became steady blue and the display came on and stayed stable.
The amber light flashing time started with 10-20 seconds to the point now it is 6-12 minutes and progressing to the worse direction.
Seemed the display needed some time to warm up, just like those old TV sets half century ago. Twelve minutes waiting time is just too long.

I have tried reseat connectors, cleaned with electrical contact cleaners, tried with an older desktop with different graphics card, press and hold power buttons...etc. Guess the display is old and some parts have to be replaced to prevent this to happen.

Anyone knows which part (with part number will be better) has to be replaced to fix that? I have never opened and fixed a LCD monitor before, but willing to try, providing I have the right parts for that.

Thanks in advance !

That sounds like the power board may be on it's way out. Unfortunately for that old of a monitor I don't have access to a parts list. :(

Thanks for the reply. I'll try to search from internet for the power board. I have replaced power button board for my old Dell laptop before. Some other thing to learn and do this time.
