Just want to make sure because I am new with Laptop devices and before making purchases beforehand. I've seen other devices that are specified to be upgradeable but with this model, I have not, I have also consulted in crucial.com but it said that " Crucial currently does not have any compatible memory upgrades for your particular system" Furthermore, Here are some specs if that helps somehow, also in says that it has 1 of 8 slots

    Hi,
Please check SPD tab as well in CPU-z, this model comes with either 4GB or 8GB onboard memory and a slot for the upgrade, according to the details in the advertisement, it says 8GB onboard and a slot for upgrade and you can install a 16GB DDR4 2666MHz module in the slot.

Yes, it's upgradeable but your laptop should have one soldered non-replaceable DDR4 DRAM socket on the mainboard and one replaceable socket on the mainboard.

The soldered non-replaceable DRAM socket on your machine could be filled with 0GB, 4GB or 8GB depending on where it was manufactured. Which means your replaceable DRAM socket could be filled with an 8GB module, a 4GB module or 0GB if the soldered DRAM is 0GB, 4GB or 8GB respectively.

This is probably why the crucial scanner had difficulty because it couldn't determine if you had an 8GB+0GB configuration, a 4GB+4GB configuration or an 0GB+8GB configuration.

Accordingly, before you order any modules, you must open the bottom cover to determine if the replaceable DRAM socket is empty, or has a 4GB or a 8GB module installed.

If empty, you can install up to a 16GB DDR4 sodimm module of 2666MHz speed or faster for a total of 24GB RAM (8GB soldered RAM + 16GB replaceable RAM)

If it has a 4GB module you can replace it with the 16GB sodimm for a total of 20GB RAM (4GB soldered + 16GB replaceable)

If it has an 8GB module you can again replace it with the 16GB sodimm for a total of 16GB RAM (0GB soldered + 16GB replaceable)
