Nitro 5 AMD 515-x5 Owners, what do we all think?

Seen years of people slating Acer for bad experiences, seen first hand sometimes the thermal performance hasn't been very great but bit the bullet on a 515-45 model during the silicone shortage at prices below anything I'd seen on the open market,

I'd like to class myself as an enthusiast, I've not yet pushed the nitro 5 to its peak, optimised it to perform at its best as well as started upgrading the storage.

So far I'm blown away. The experience and design is comparable to my m17xr3, I loved that oversized machine and the Acer just reminds me of it, I have no interest in these thin laptops that throttle performance to protect from heat. As a 15 inch laptop the Acer is sized exactly how it needs to be.

Performance? I've come from a twin Vega and 2700x combo that runs heavily overclocked all the time and still packs a wallop, I for a package of the 5600h and rtx 3060 in this little machine and so far I'm enjoying the new ryzen and Nvidia experience, the rtx really does put a single one of my vegas to shame and I'm glad that the price to performance ratio is there with this little machine.

Has everyone done the 95w tgp GPU update? You should, the thermal solution on the graphics card is supreme, so far my max temp seems to see 70C in all demanding applications, CPU runs a little toasty but it's ryzens design to hit the maximum ceiling with boost, I may look into cooling enhancement here.

How are you all finding your nitro 5 experience,

What are your thermals like?
What do you use it for?
Anyone have any idea of the fastest ram I can purchase? For all those that don't know Ryzen favours high frequency low timing ram so we need an option!
Storage upgrades, what have we done? I've just purchased a Samsung Evo 970 m.2 to install. Now looking at a 2.5in drive to go with.

Sorry for a long post. Looking forward to being a member here.

Current Vega build of last few years, now stripped of GPUs awaiting GPU market to settle.
