Hello,

The Acer Swift 3 allows users to turn on NumLock, enabling them to type with a numerical 'keypad' on the laptop keyboard itself. However, I do have an external numpad, and I noticed that when I turn on the NumLock key on the numpad, the laptop keyboard is on NumLock as well.

is there a way to separate these two? Or maybe the ability to turn off numerical keys on the laptop keyboard entirely?

The model number is Swift SF314-57G.

Look at the top row of your internal keyboard.    You can see the key f11 and f12.    Please check on which key you see the number lock symbol.

Hold the fn key on keyboard  and press f11 or f12 once to enable or disable the number lock.   You can see the number lock symbol on f11 or f12 key.  Based on that you can press fn + f11 or fn + f12

Check whether you have a separate number lock key on the keyboard to turn it on or off.

You can even even go to device manager and disable one of the keyboard

    Tried windows + x
    click on device manager
    expand keyboard
right click on internal keyboard and disable it so that you can use the external keyboard.
