Hello Everyone, and thank you for stopping by to help me. I currently have an Acer Aspire 8943G-6449 (ZYA Model) that I purchased secondhand, in slightly rough shape. It is missing the module for the power button, needs the charger, and also needs both of the silver endcaps on both ends as well as the plastic cover on the right side that is right past the power button replaced. I am currently looking to purchase all of the parts needed tonight, but I need help finding out the correct name or part number, as well as which charger I need to purchase ( I have the i3 model and need help making sure I am buying the correct adapter (US 3-pin), as it seems the i7 models use a higher power). I would also like to know if I could power on the laptop using the media remote until I could find the power button? Any help would be extremely appreciated, and thank you for your time. NOTE: I am including pictures of the laptop in its current state, as well as pictures of a working model, that show the parts I am missing, minus the power module.

The exposed hinge area is best covered with black vinyl electricians tape (also now comes in color packs at HomeDepot & Lowes or other home improvement center) that I use on my own laptops that have cracked or missing plastic parts. The silver button daubles should've originally been glued on and the reason why they're missing. To get a similar effect, I would cut out aluminum foil tape circles also from home improvement centers.

Google search the following part nos to get the machine up and running. Sorry the IR remote control is for changing channels on the TV tuner, not for controlling power to the laptop. Case parts are usually only available as used on ebay.

    Power button board = 55.PWL02.002
    All models use one of these 90watt chargers = AP.09003.021, AP.09001.027, AP.0900A.005

Alrighty so I Google Searched that board as you suggested, but it is pointing me to another power board for a different model. I believe I found the correct board in this picture, but I do have another question; I am able to use the other buttons to enter Acer Live Arcade, but would you happen to know if I could access windows via those buttons? BTW Thank you for answering, I greatly appreciate it : )

Also, would you happen to know the max RAM that is supported by this board? I have the i3 processor version, if that helps.

Live Arcade is like the TV Tuner. You need the power button board which may also be used in other 8930 & 8940 series laptops. Max RAM is 8GB with two 4GB DDR3 sodimm modules.

Thank you very much for all of the information you have provided me so far; I went ahead and ordered the charger as well as a remote, but I do have a few questions regarding the missing silver end pieces as well as the plastic cover to the right of the power button; I haven't been able to find them at all; would you happen to have any suggestions as to what I should do to cover up the exposed hinge without it looking tacky, but to also keep the power board in place when I do get it? Thank you once again for all of your help : )
