Hi Please help me selecting the correct SSD with maximum allowed capacity for Acer E5-575-57FD (nx.ge6si.030)
I'm asking a question after a lot and lot of searches on multiple platforms.
Acer customer support told me that my machine only supports M.2 SATA and not NVMe. Also told that it can have only upto 256GB capacity.
While on other forums people are telling that there should be no capacity limits.
Can someone please please help me with this? Following are the chat with customer support and HWiNFO:

I didn't knew which port to select so adding image for all 3 ports:

The port looks like this:

With a single M-key socket, your machine should compatible with both m.2 SATA3 cards and m.2 NVME cards up to 2TB.  The NVME card may be up to two times faster than the SATA3

You can put PCIe 3.0 x2 M.2 NVMe SSD there for optimal speed. It is not easy to find a x2 NVMe drive now in retail market.

Since it has only four pins on the narrower side of the M.2 slot notch, using a PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD is still O.K. but will run at x2 speed ( 1,700 MB/s seq. read).

Please, any m.2 NVME should be compatible as they all automatically adjust to the maximum bus speed with a single M-key socket whether it's 1x, 2x, 4x etc
