My device is Aspire E1-510 (its a laptop). Its two USB 2.0 ports are not working. Neither a wireless mouse is getting connected nor external USB drives via these ports but smartphones are getting charged through them. In the device manager EHCI USB - 0F34 is not working/starting, complete section of HID is missing and while trying to connect wireless mouse HID complaint mouse is not showing up. I have tried uninstalling all USB drivers, disabling the power option for these ports, updating drivers and resetting the PC. Nothing at all is working.

Have you downloaded and run Intel Driver and Support Assistant from Intel's web site.

Most driver problems can be solved with this program.

Try uninstall the troubled driver before running the Driver and Support Assistant.

I tend to believe it is hardware problem with the USB port, believing that it only retained the charging function but not for data.

Try spray some electrical contact cleaner to the port and see if it will help.

Did it encountered power surge previously?
