In my Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-55) I use second monitor AOC G2260VWQ6 as a basic one (laptop works as a central unit, monitor is usually off). I spend in games 4-5h a week, I mostly watching youtube, netflix, browering.

What I see is that display use all the time GPU for work (GTX 1650 Ti). I think is not necessary though. This shoud change to GPU only when I play games.

How to change to use Intel Graphic card as a default all the time and change only while gaming? Works right when I don't have connected monitorto laptop - gpu is inactive when not playing games.

In Nvidia Control Panel I have set auto choose.
In setting display 2 is connected to GPU - I can't change to Intel.(or I don't know how).
Power setting are set on high performance.

I dont belive its possible as the HDMI port is directly connected to the GPU, so no matter what settings you change it will always run it via the dGPU im afraid!

Well i am not happy with your answer. I heard there is an option to change it in Bios - to boot HDMI display on iGfx not dGfx. This laptop in not friendly for monitor users at all. The GPU works all the time on few percetage work load an the fans turn on and off each 10-20 sec to cool the GPU for a 1-2'C.
