After a job change I now work from home permanently. I have been given a laptop to work from home with but would much rather use by lovely big screened all in one PC. There is no such thing as virtual desktops in the NHS yet and I get that the all in one PC can only HDMI out.....but there must be some way? A piece of software I can download to enable it? Any help is very welcome. Thanks

The easiest is to HDMI the laptop out to a TV. Or google search the keywords virtual desktop freeware do it yourself if you're allowed to install it.

What software do they have installed on the laptop that enables you to remote in? You just need the same software loaded on the AIO in order to do the same thing with it. Note that often they will have a bunch of security changes needed as well, and that can be problematic with your personal system. Talk to your IT guys and see what they say.
