Predator Helios 300 power cable disconnects as soon as I begin to play a game on it. Whats the issue

My laptop will disconnect from its power cable as soon as I begin playing a more recently released video game. Older games do not seem to trigger this, however modern ones will. I have recently bought a new power cable, and during non-video gaming, the cable works just fine. No disconnections, no powering issues. But once I spin up a game, it immediately disconnects and begins drawing from the battery power resulting in lowered performance.

Any help is appreciated,

You can try to reinstall the battery drivers to check if that makes any difference.



After uninstalling the driver please reboot the laptop to reinstall the driver back.

If it still doesn't work you can try to do a complete reset to check if that makes any difference with the laptop. But make sure to backup all the data from the laptop before the reset process.
